ATOMIC BOMB MENACE (Rec. noon.) LONDON, Jan. 7. There is no specific defence against the atom bomb nor is one likely to be possible, according to a pamphlet published by the Atom Scientists’ Association, one of whose aims is to give publicity to problems arising from the release of atomic energy. The pamphlet asserts that one ounce of fissionable material in an atomic explosion could throw millions of tons of rock more than 100 ft into the air. '
