(Rec. noon.) WINDSOR (Ontario), Nov. 4. A black market in babies exists in which ’ children of unmarried Canadian mothers are bought and then taken across the border for adoption by United States citizens, declared the superintendent , of the Roman Catholic Children’s Society, Mr R. J. Bohdy. He added that there was nothing under the present laws to halt the traffic. The child may legally be taken across the border with a slip of paper from its natural mother stating she is relinquishing her claims to the baby.
