AMATEUR SWIMMING
DUNEDIN CLUB'S MEETING Complimenting the members of the Dunedin Amateur Swimming Club on the success of their activities during the year, the president (Mr D. C. Bannatyne), at the annual meeting on Wednesday night, forecast another good season. Mention was made by him of the performances of club members in the Otago championships, especially S. Williams, the winner of live championships in the junior class, and It. Wilson, who won three intermediate championships. The club’s water polo team had been successful in winning’ the Donald Stuart banner, and four members of the club represented the province in the Neiv Zealand water polo championship team. The following office-bearers were elected:—President, Mr D. C. Bannatyne ; committee—Messrs H. Williams. W. Williams, W. Wallace, T. Wilson, McClay, Mrs .J. Ferguson; delegates to Otago Centre, Messrs J. Barry and H. Williams; to the Royal Life Saving Society, W. Wallace and M. Iteid; captain, Trevor Wilson; deputy captain, W. Wallace; women’s captain, Miss Jean Moore ; deputy women’s captain, Miss H. Ross; treasurer, Mrs C. Ingram; secretary, Mrs M. Woods.
