The death of Mr E. McKenzie, of Carterton, president of the New'Zealand Rugby Football Union, was referred to at last night’s meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Rugby. Football Union, by the president (Mr .A. H, Cameron). Amotion of sympathy with his relatives was ■ passed. Mr Cameron said that Mr McKenzie had been a prominent player, referee, and administrator of the game. He had represented' Wairarapa and the North Island l as a player, and on the administrative side he had been secretary of the Wairarapa Rugby Union, a New Zealand selector, and a vice-president of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union.
