CORRESPONDENCE
POLITICAL PARTIES. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I have voted Labour all my life, and I suppose I shall do so to the finish, but I heartily agree with every word that “ A National ” has written. In my opinion, it is the most evenlybalanced and sensible letter that I have read for a long time. What is the use of all this money we read about m the Post Office Savings Bank and National Savings, belonging to the people, if we have not the goods to strike a fair balance? What is the value of our pound 'at the. present time?'’Other countries have suffered inflation, why not New Zealand? I most sincerely hope not. Let me appeal to my fellow workers—do not object' to working a few extra hours a week, and when things get back to normal, with the help of modern machinery, we shall all enjoy that leisure which as workers we are all justly entitled to; but in': the meantime we must have production.—l am. etc., Old-Timer.;
