ITALIAN SHIPYARDS
TAKEN OVER BY ALLIES STRIKERS GO BACK TO WORK (Rec. 11 a.m.) TRIESTE, July ,19. British and American flags fluttered over the gateways as 9,000 workers at the Mbnfalcone and San Marco shipyards streamed back to work as the yards reopened under Allied Military Government control for the first time since July 1, following a-12-day strike and the management's lock-out. A British officer, Lieutenant-colonel J. E. Foden, has been put in charge of the shipyards.
