DUNEDIN CENTRAL ELECTORATE The annual meeting of the Dunedin Central electorate of the New Zealand National Party was held on Tuesday evening, when the seating capacity of Lake’s Restaurant was taxed to the utmost. The electorate chairman, Mr L. J. Ireland, presided. In his opening remarks, the chairman referred to the fact that the meeting was in the nature of a winding-up of the' affairs of the electorate prior to the re-arrangement necessary because of the alteration of the electoral boundaries. He stated that as a result of the organisation which had been developed during the past year, the change-over to the newly constituted electorates should occasion no interference with the valuable work being done by branch committees. During the evening the Anderson’s Bay branch was responsible for an interesting half-hour in the form of a political “ quiz.” Members of the audience came forward in groups of four to face a battery of tricky but commonplace questions touching the political life of the country.
