BUILDING PROGRAMME FOR N.Z. (Rec. 8 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 24. The United States plans an extensive building programme in New Zealand and Australia to provide additional Legation and Consular offices and residences. Plans have been .prepared for new buildings in Auckland, Wellington, and Christ-church. The programme envisages the acquisition of necessary sites, materials, and labour as part o"f the settlement of lend-lease accounts, as well as part payment for United States surplus war property in New Zealand and Australia.
