Floods in Spain. Flood waters from the Seguara River inundated the towns of Alquerias and Santa Cruz, 'where 8 per cent, of the houses collapsed. ■ Two people aro reported to have been drowned ■in Santa Cruz, but many more are believed to have died. Spanish sailors in boats helped to remove 8,000 persons from the flooded area.—Madrid message. Philippine Presidency. Tabulation of the unofficial returns in the Presidential election gives Roxas the lead, but Osmena is steadily closing the gap as the returns trickle in from Central Luzon.
