TRIAL FOR TREASON
NANKING PUPPET MINISTER EXECUTION REQUESTED (Rec. 8 a.m.) SOOCHOW, April IG. The treason trial of Chu Min-yi, the former Foreign Minister in the Nanking Puppet Government, ended yesterday after the defendant implored the court to give him the death sentence, not life imprisonment. Accused of high treason, he said: "T do' not see why vou bring so many minor counts against, me when one major one would send me to the gallows."
