ATOMIC RESEARCH STATION IN SPAIN PLANTS IN INACCESSIBLE REGION LONDON, April 15. An atomic research station staffed by German scientists is situated on a rocky and almost inaccessible hill outside the village of Portugalete, five miles south of Bilbao,, says the Paris correspondent of the ' Daily Worker,' quoting secret information from Spanish resistance sources. The station is guarded by German-speaking security police and no one is allowed near the plant. The workers sleep and eat in the plant. Warsaw radio, commenting on the Spanish invitation for a commission to investigate the Polish charges of German atomic research in Spain, said the plants where the work was being done were situated in inaccessible regions and the German experimenters had all taken Spanish names. [.The Spanish Cabinet issued a communique regarding the Polish accusations that atomic research was being carried out in Spain by German scientists. The' communique described the accusations as " totally false." The Cabinet issued an invitation to all members of the United _ Nations having diplomatic relations with Spain to send technical commissions to that country. They would have liberty to travel freely oil the understanding that their findings would be published.]
