GENERAL HORTHCQTT TOURING (Rec. 8 a.m.) TOKIO, April 15. Lieutenant-general Northcott, travelling by special train, began a four days' tour of South-western Honshu. He will visit, among other units, the Ninth New Zealand Brigade at Chofn. Reuter's correspondent at Kure eays: The " Tokio Derby," a competition to decide which unit of the Australian occupation force shall have the honour of forming tho first guard in Tokio. was won by three companies of the Thirty-fourth Brigade. They are due in Tokio this week, when they will share the guard before the Imperial Palace with the Americans. They will also guard the British Embassy, which at present is at the Royal Navy shore establishment. New Zealanders from Italy, who are due to go home in July, will follow the Australians' Tokio assignment.
