FLIGHTS TO JAPAN
TWO MORE AUSTRALIAN PLANES LOST BRISBANE, April 15. Two more Australian airmen have been killed while attempting the ocean crossing between Australia and Japan in fighter aircraft, bringing the total R.A.A.F. death roll to six. Four Mustangs were forced to fly only a few feet above sea level, due to bad visibility. Suddenly an island loomed out of the mist, and two of the machines were unable to clear the mountain side.
