RUSSIA HAS HER TROUBLES, TOO

WORKERS GETTING SLACK QUOTAS NOT BEING REACHED (Rec. noon.) LONDON, April 14. The output of some Russian workers has fallen considerably compared with pre-war production, says Moscow radio, quoting complaints in ' Pravda.' The newspaper specially mentioned the Don Basin coalfields, where mechanisation is not fully utilised. Up to 33 per cent, of the machinery is lying idle. Oil industry workers at Baku and other places are getting slack. ' Pravda ' emphasises that it is the duty of unions to see that production is kept up to plan and to maintain the creative spirit of workers, managers, and scientists in achieving the quotas assigned to them.
