20,000 SPECTATORS WITNESS FINALE
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Mar. 24. The New Zealand victory band contest was concluded yesterday with the quickstep competition at Lancaster Park. • The weather was perfect, and it was estimated that more than 20,000 _ attended to watch the spectacle provided by the ceremonial marching of the bands. The St". Kilda Band won by a margin of 10 points over its nearest opponent, the Wellington Waterside Silver Band. Results:— A GRADE.
