HUTT VALLEY RETAINS TROPHY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 24. Winning four of the remaining six matches in the Wilding Shield contest against Auckland at Lower Hutt on Saturday, Hutt Valley retained the trophv by nine rubbers to three. Hutt led by five rubbers to one on Friday,
and completed the contest with the loss of only two singles. Scores (Hutt Valley names first) :-*- SINGLES. N. V Edwards beat N. F. Bedford. 8-6, 0-6, 6-3. R. S McKenzie beat E. D. Lusk. 6-2.' 6-3 Bold lost to J. A. Barry, 7-9, 2-G. F. S. Ramson lost to G. Radonich. 7-5, 2-6, 1-6. DOUBLES. Edwards andl McKenzie beat Bedford and Lusk, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0. Bold and Ramson beat Barry and Radonich, 7-5, 4-6, 8-6.
