TRANSPORT REQUESTED
LATE HOUR RADIO ANNOUNCERS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 13. The technicians and radio announcers of the local commercial radio stations held a meeting at which they decided to ask the Government to provide transport to take them to work when rostered for early-morning duty, and home again when on late work at night. These proposals were before the Wellington Section Committee of the New Zealand Public Service Association, and were unanimously endorsed. * The committee recommended that where transport facilities were not provided stations should be allowed to broadcast from the transmitting site during the period when adequate transport was not available.
