CELEBRATING VICTORY
PUNS IN BRITAIN SPECTACULAR JUNE PARADES (Rec. 8 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 3. Britain will hold victory celebrations from June 8, says the ' Sunday Dispatch.' A victory parade will give London its greatest spectacle since September 19, 1919, when the victory in . the 1914-18 war was celebrated. It is planned that the procession will .pass through the bomb-saarred and beflagged streets, headed by chiefs of all the Allied land, sea, and air forces, and the leaders of the resistance movements from countries in liberated Europe. Every phase of Britain's war effort will 'be represented. The R.A.F. will stage a spectacular fly-past at. night. Historic buildings will be floodlit, and hundreds of searchlights will illuminate the sky. The display is expected to continue for a week.
