. HELIOPOLIS WINS MAIN EVENT The Auckland Trotting Club's meeting was opened in fine, sultry weather at Epsom. The track was in splendid order. The attendance was 16,000. The totalisator handled £119,063, compared with £106,056 last year, an increase of £13,007. Volo Senwod and F. J. Smith received a great ovation on winning the Papakura Handicap when he conceded Karangi about 6sec start over the last half-mile to beat him. Results:— IMPROVERS'.
