—Vice-Regal.— The *Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron) has. received advice that the GovernorGeneral (Sir. Cyril Newall) and Lady Newall will tay a farewell visit to Dunedin about the middle of March. A reception will be held in .the Town Hall. —Ministerial.— The Minister of Defence (Hon." F> Jones) was engaged in conducting official business in the Ministerial rooms to-day and will leave by air for Wellington early to-morrow morning. —Air Passengers.— Passengers from the north on Saturday were Mrs T. Captain Ivan Wilson,, son. of Mr and Mrs G. W. Wilson, 93 Forbury Crescent, St. Kilda, who for tie past 18 months has been stationed in India, arrived in Dunedin this morning. Mr P. Neilson, M.P., returned from Wellington on Saturday. The Mayor of West Harbour, Mr E. J. Taylor, is at present a patient in the Dunedin Hospital. Major-general Sir Charles Rosenthal and Lady Rosenthal, of Sydney, are. visiting Dunedin. Sir. Charles was formerly Administrator of Norfolk Island. In continuation of his mission for the British Ministry of Food, Sir Henry L. French arrived at Auckland from Sydney by. flying boat on Saturday. Sir Henry, who was permanent secretary of the Ministry from the outbreak of the war until the end of last September, is conveying the thanks of the Ministry for the part played by Australia and New Zealand in maintaining food supplies to the United Kingdom.
