DAMAGED COLLIER
KAREPO BERTHED AT WELLINGTON (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 2G. The Union Company's collier Karepo, which was damaged when she struck the - outer rock of the Needles off Cape Foulwind on Tuesday, berthed at Wellington late last night. It was'at first intended to call at Nelson for temporary repairs, but as a result of the improvement in the weather, the vessel came direct to Wellington, accompanied by the Wellington Harbour Board's tug, Toia.
