RACING IN NEW SOUTH WALES
GAMING LAWS UNDER REVIEW (Rec. 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 25. Horse racing on "111 days of each ■year-in the Metropolitan area will be' recommended to the State /Government by the Parliamentary Labour Party sub-committee which is reviewing the new gaming and betting laws in New South'Wales: The Minister's Eroposals relating to the number of xtures were rejected, and the committee expressed itself in favour of the immediate resumption of mid-week racing. The committee did not reach the Minister's recommendations on greyhound racing before adjourning, but affirmed' the principle of the issue of licenses for night trotting in the State.
