WORLD TRADE UNIONS
PERMANENT GUESTS OF U.N.O. ASSEMBLY CONSULTATION OH RELEVANT TOPICS (Rec. 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 24. The General Committee of the United Nations Assembly to-day drafted a resolution regarding the World Federation of Trade Unions' request to join in the work of U.N.O. in an advisory capacity. The resolution suggests that the Assembly should create a special category of official and permanent guests, including the World Federation of Trade Unions. The Assembly should also recommend to the Economic and Social Council that the World Federation of Trade Unions be permanently consulted in the work of the Council's economic and employment sub-com-committee, and in the work of the temporary social sub-committee; and that the World Federation of Trade Unions' representatives attend the meetings of the Council at which matters within the competence of these sub-com-mittees are being discussed.
