SEIZURE BY GOVERNMENT
U.S. MEAT-PACKING PLANTS (Rec. 8 a.m.) WASHINGTON. January 23. The White House has announced that the Department of Agriculture would seize and operate the strike-bound meatpacking plants next Saturday, with the aid of the War Department if necessary.
