TOO FREQUENT IN ROLAND MR BEVIN'S POINTED REFERENCE (Rec. 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 23. Mr Bevyi told the House of Commons that he was seriously concerned over the number of political murders committed in Poland in circumstances that in many cases appeared to point to the complicity of the Polish security police. " I regard it as imperative that the Polish Provisional Government should put an immediate stop to these crimes so that free, unfettered elections may be held as soon as possible," he said. Professor Savory asked: '-' Will the Foreign Secretary urge that a General Election should take pice before all potential leaders of the Opposition are murdered?" ' Mr Bevin said the task of recreating, Europe and' getting tranquillity was very difficult. It was necessary to exercise patience. At the same time he was looking forward to the end of. these police States.
