CORNWELL CUP
ANNEXED BY AUCKLAND
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 23. Auckland won the 1946 Cormvell Cup by securing the necessary three wine with a well-deserved victory this morning. Tauranga was second, Paremata third, and Lyttelton fourth in this morning's race, which was never in doubt, as Auckland established a commanding lead and was never challenged. Only -six boats finished, the remainder capsizing on the final run home.
