CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY TO DECIDE (Rec. 11135 a.m.) PARIS, Jan. 22. After M-. Gouin indicated that he was unwilling to accept the Presidency, as suggested by the Communists, the
Socialists unanimously voted to propose M. Vincent Auriol as the new President of the Provisional Government. M.R.P. circles indicated that M. Auriol would be acceptable. The. parties are now waiting on the Communists for a decision. The Constituent Assembly, by a show of hands to-day, decidted to elect the head of the new Government tomorrow.
