The Weather Office advised at noon;' There is a deep depression south-east of Southland, aud a trough is crossing the North Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. on Thursday: Fresh south-westerly winds, turning temporarily to the north-west to-morrow. Weather soon becoming fair, but further showers developing late ' to-morrow. Temperatures moderate. Further outlookjj Probably fair.
