BKBMX, Jan. 22.—The British field security police arrested six of Germany's " oil kings." and removed 15 others from office. A British officer stated that all those arrested were members of the Nazi Party, and participated in oil organisation during tlu? war.
YACHTING.
Auckland won the 1916 Cormvell Cup by securing the necessary three wins with a well-deserved
victory this morning. Tauranga was second. Pamnata third, and Lytteltott fourth in this morning's race, which was never in doubt, as Auckland established a commanding lead and was never challenged. RAILWAYMEX PROTEST
The Frankton branch of the Engine Drivers, Firemen, and Cleaners' Association expressed dissatisfaction at the recent announcement regarding the running of special race and excursion trains on Saturdays, and decided to make an immediate protest against the proposal. A representative of the association said that the Saturday holiday was simply creating more work for a depleted railway staff, and it was about time the Government looked after its own departments in its endeavours to make better conditions tor other workers. --Hamilton Press Association.
