TURKISH STUDENTS
A PATRIOTIC DEMONSTRATION (Rec. 10.10 n.m.) ANKARA, January 6. Speakers at a gathering of 1,000 university students yelled, “We shall fight to guard Turkish territory if attacked by anybody.” Observers describe the meeting as a strictly proTurkish demonstration, without a word spoken against any foreign Power. The Minister of Education urged the students to disband. Two of the organisers of the demonstration were arrested.
