COLLAPSE ON TRACK BRISBANE, December 26. The gelding Gold Salute, who was bred in New Zealand, collapsed and died on the track at Deagon this ing. Gold' Salute had worked splendidly in recent weeks. He blundered turning for home, and then fell about halfway down the straight.
