FATAL PLANE CRASH
COURT MARTIAL INQUIRY WASHINGTON, December 21. Failure to refuel for the return trip of 2,400 miles from Honolulu to California caused an airliner to make a forced landing in the Pacific with 18 fatalities on November 3. The ' New York Herald-Tribune's ' correspondent says that the flight engineer, who allegedly checked the fuel with a rain-wet stick and pronounced the tanks filled, will be court-martialled.
