SNOW IN NEW YORK
COMMUNICATIONS INTERRUPTED NEW YORK, Dec. 19. New York will have its first white Christmas since 1930 ns the result of a heavy snowstorm. The snow is expected to be 12in deep to-morrow. Pedestrians to-dav ploughed through snow which delayed long-distance trains for upwards of five hours, and necessitated more than 200 flights to and from la Guardia airfield. Bad visibility prevented scores of ships from docking. Snow blanketed all the Northeastern United States and reached 65 inches in parts olf Buffalo.
