NEW MAGNET PRODUCED

CONTRIBUTION TO RADIO DEVELOPMENT . (Rec. 8 a.m.) OSLO, November 25. By using a new alloy, a Norwegian engineer named Jedbo has 1 produced a magnet wliich should be an important contribution to the development of radio. The new magnet has a far freater magnetic strength than the urinary steel types. [A number of, alloys, which include aluminium, nickel, and cobalt, have been found to make more efficient magnets than ordinary steel. No information about the Norwegian development has. been received at the physics department of Otago University, lhe principal advantage of a stronger magnet in radio would be in permanent magnet type loud speakers, the efficiency of which would be increased.]
