FEDERATION OF LABOUR
ANNUAL CONFERENCE OPENS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov 7. Attended by 200 delegates, representing 180,000 workers, the conference of the New Zealand Federation of Labour opened in Wellington yesterday, the Hon. S. McLagan presiding. The conference is expected to last four days. A large number of remits have been handed to a committee to deal .with. Among the visitors is Mr W. L. Austin, president of the Australian Railway Workers’ Union.
