TOKOITI RESIDENT MISSING
DROWNING FEARED Missing from his home at Tokoiti, near Milton,/ since Monday morning, Mr Robert Carruthers, aged)' 67, is feared to have been drowned. Mr Carriithers left home at 9 o'clock on Monday for the purpose of fishing on the Toko. River. He had not returned in the evening, and anxiety was felt for his safety, as he had been subject to heart attacks. A search party organised by Constable Clark, of Milton, found the missing man's fishing rod and lunch basket at the cliffs on Monday evening. Dragging' operations have since been carried on, but so' far without success.
