EMPEROR HIROHITO
NO, 1 ON CHINA'S WANTED LIST NEW YORK, November 5. The Tokio correspondent of the 'Herald-Tribune' learns that Emperor Hirohito is number one on the list of 300 Japanese sought by the Chinese as war criminals. The Chinese list, which will be submitted to General MacArthur, also includes Prince Konoye, Prince Higashi Kuni, and two members , of the present Cabinet, the War Minister, M. Shimomura, and the'Navy Minister, M. Yonai. The correspondent says that the inclusion of Emperor Hirohito and Prince Konoye came as a surprise to certain quarters in Tokio. It is believed that these audi some other names may be the subject of bargaining among the Allies concerning whether they shall be included in the final list of war criminals.
