DEMAND ON FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (Ree. 8 a.m.) CANBERRA, November 5. The Leader of the Australian Country Party, Mr A. W. Fadden, issued a statement saying that he demanded the Government should order an immediate investigation whether indictments would be presented under a section of the Crimes Act against Communists who were virtually accessories before the fact in the Indonesian trouble. Mr Fadden quoted section 30 (c) of the Crimes Act, which provides that any person who advocates or encourages either the overthrow of the Constitution by revolution or sabotage, or the overthrow by force or violence of the established government or commonwealth or any other civilised country, or organised government, shall be liable to uo to two years’ imprisonment, and if not Australian-born to deportation.
