GUILT CANNOT BE EVADED
PASTOR NIEMOLLER'S IMDICTMEMT (Rec. 11 a.m.) BERLIN, Oct. 19. Pastor Niemoller, addressing the council of the, German Evangelical Church at Stuttgart; criticised those Germans who were trying to escape
their own responsibility by placing the guilt on German Nazis and militarists alone. Pastor Niemoller blamed the Germans for their present suffering and for the horror of the past 12 years. "No Christian has a clear conscience in the face of this great guilt;" he said . " None can evade responsibility."
