WAR-TIME DISTINCTIONS
HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS Congratulations to the Otago Boys High School on the distinctions gained by cx-ipupils during the war were extended by the Otago High Schools Board at its meeting yesterday afternoon. An analysis of the distinctions gained by old boys was forwarded: by the rector (Mr H. P. Kidson) foy the information of the board, and this showed that 187 honours of various kinds had been gained as follows:—K.C.B., 1; K.8.E., 1; C. 8., 1; C.8.E., 6; 0.8. E., 9; M.8.E., 6; 8.E.M., 4; George Medal, 1; D. 5.0., 8; bar to D. 5.0., 2; D.C.M., 1; M.C., 11; M.M., 4; D. 5.0., .8; D.S.M., 1; D.F.C., 38; bar to D.F.C., 7; D.F.M., 4; A.F.C., 2; Silver Cross of the Order of Phcenix (Greek), 1; mentioned in despatches, 70; American letters of commendation.
