PATRIOTIC APPEAL
DUNEDIN-ST. HILDA SUB-ZONE
£13,000 OVER QUOTA The total amount received to date in response to the Dunedin-St. Kilda Sub-zone’s Patriotic Appeal is £51,463 19s 4d, which is over £13,000 in excess of the quota of *£38,000. Recent donations are as follows :
Professional Group (massage section), £5; Thursday Ladies’ Bridge Club (gift parcels). £1 7s; Otago Girls’ High School, £1 5s 6d; sale of goods (cakes, etc.), £1 3s; “ Anon.” (for schools effort), £1; Thursday Ladies’ Bridge Club (prisoners .of war), 1.8 s; Miss A. Borrie, 10s. The following donations have been received through the Retail Group : Zone 1: Ascot Ltd., £5 ss; Brown and Turner, £2,25; A. S. Ruddicom, Reids, Florists, each £1 Is; Brown Owl Tea Booms. £1; J. Metcalf 10s; Broadway Cafe, 5s ;—total, £ll 4s.
Zone 4: Butterfields Ltd., £3O; Smith. Wilson Ltd., £10; Thomas Boot Store, W Sherriff, each £5; iMatheson and Roberts Ltd., £3; Preeiis Ltd., £2 2s; Mrs Pidken. Colsons Ltd.. “Lucia,” Catholic Depot, Sponge Kitchen, Glover’s Jewellery, each £1 Is; 1.X.L., Townsend’s Jewellery, H. Sprosen, each 10s; four donations under 10s, 13s; —total, £63 11s.
