The first race at tho Oauiaru Trotting Club's meeting is timed for 12.10. The first totalisator race at Wellington will start at 11.10. There will be a non-totalisator maiden race at 10.25. Boloyna will again carry good support at Treutham, especially if. the track is on the soft side. Neenah is the latest New Zealander about to set off for Australia. He is to contest weigh t-for-age events in Melbourne. It is reported that, if able to ride, L. J. Ellis, will pilot Joygiver at the Wellington meeting. D. Stove will be on Silver Mask and Salmi at the meeting at Rangiora on Labour Day. Prince Dolomite has returned from Auckland to take part at Trentham. He will be ridden by K. Thomson.

Lunaria is engaged in the hurdle race on the second clay at Trentham.

Brown Derby has been scratched for the High-weight Handicap at the North Canterbury meeting. Reorapa, Pensacola, and Deprive, favourites in Wellington for the Shorts Handicap, will be ridden by W. J. Mudford, H. N. Wiggins, and O. T. Wilson.

Reports state that High Play has not been happy on tho right-handed Sydney tracks. It is hoped he will do better in Melbourne.

Radiant Scott was always in the picture m his race at Forbury Park, and he should be sharpened up for his engagement in the Otama Trot at Gore. Knave of Diamonds, who has yet to qualify for the New Zealand Trotting Cup, has been accepted for two races at Auckland.

Worthy Cross's and Burt. Scott's sulkies came into collision near the finish of the final event at Forbury Paiik.

A decision has been made to broadcast through 4YZ all fixtures of three of the more important Southland racing and trotting clubs. All meetings of the Southland Racing Club, the Riverton Racing Club, and the Invercargill Trotting Club will be broadcast through 4YZ, lnvercargill, and the first meeting to be put on the air will be the lnvercargill Trotting Club's spring fixture on October 27. Although course broadcasts have been carried out at Southland meetings in recent years, this is the first decision to put fixtures "on the air," and it is possible that additional club fixtures will be broadcast later.
