SURRENDER TO BE TAKEN AT RANGOOH AND SINGAPORE STRINGENT TERMS ' (Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 16. The. "cease fire" .order went out from Twelfth Army headquarters to 'front line formations, ending offensive hostilities in Burma, reports the Associated Press correspondent at Rangoon.
