The first race at Forbury Park on Saturday will start at 11.30.

llandicaps for the Oamaru meeting will appear next Monday. Calumella (scr) was omitted from the list of acceptors for the Bayfield and Victory Handicaps in the Forhury Park acceptances. Ponsacola has won £3,150 in stakes this season, the highest for a three-year-old during the present period. A 3.43 class at the Oamaru Jockey Club's meeting drew nearly 30 nominations.

The Oamaru Jockey Club has received what must be close to a record list of entries. The smallest field is 13.

With a lot of bad weather behind us, fchpre seems some prospect for the weather man being in a good mood again when the Forbury Park meeting comes along. The bisi field entered for the Hack and Hunters' Steeplechase at Oamaru is tangible proof that there will be ample material on hand for steeplechase events at later winter meetings. Silver Mask had, previous to Saturday, failed to stay on.when raced over a distance, and has apparently improved in stamina. He had started nine times this season before Saturday's win. Honest Sal met with a slight mishap early last week, and was scratched on Wednesday for the Timaru Cup.

Heidelberg, who is rising 11 years, lias been given away. He improved to a stage, but did not get beyond that point. Foreign Ways came in contact with a wire fence and was prevented from, starting at Timaru. After the Forbury Park and combined Waikato meetings, there will be no trotting meetings for a month, but there are two mixed meetings during the coming month.
