OTAGO REGIMENT
THIRD BATTALION REUNION The first reunion of ex-members of t,]\o Third Battalion, Otago Regiment. was held in Victoria Hall on Saturday night. The commanding officer, Lieu-tenant-colonel A. J. Lennox, presided over an attendance of approximately '•00 After the chairman's opening remarks, in which he expressed the hope that when the second reunion was held all hostilities would be at an end, and that all the ex-members of the battalion now overseas would be back to take part in the function, the pro-i-eerliiiHS were of a free, and informal nature, enabling members to renew old acquaintanceships without restraint. An impressive ceremony was held at 9 p.m., when Mr T. Hurton proposed the toast of ' Fallen Comrades.' and at tlie end of two minutes' silence Mr Arthur Roultou played ' The Last Post ' and ' The Reveille.' During the evening items were given by the orchestra. Messrs W. Dawkins (humorous items L Arthur Boulton (trumpet solo 5 ;'). \V. Tait and A. Clarke (songs), S. McDougal (bagpipe selection'-), M. Horn (saxophone ?olr), I l '' H. Hrough and A. Scott (banjo elect I. ami M. Saryinson (songs).
