MAN-POWER APPEAL CASES
The Industrial Man-power Appeal Committee concluded its sitting yesterday afternoon, when the following cases were heard:— w Cornelius M. Moss (Mr M. Silverstone) appealed against the decision granting the Railway Department. Hillside Workshops branch, permission to terminate his employment. The appeal was allowed, the appellant to report at Hillside to-day. Mrs E. J. Turina (Mr A. J. Dowling) appealed against a direction to accept employment as a nurse at the Central Mission Rest Home, Company Bay. The appeal was allowed on health grounds. Alexander George Sime appealed against a direction to his daughter, Miss June Li Sime, a baker, to accept employment at the Central Mission Rest Home, Company Bay.—The appeal was allowed. Reserved decision was given in an appeal by the Otago Farmers' Union against the direction'of Miss M. Boyd to employment at the Mosgiel Woollen Mills. The appeal was disallowed. Miss Boyd to commence employment at the mills as a mill hand on April 23.
