DRAINED DRY
DORTMUND-EMS CANAL (Rec. ll r 45 Aim.) /RUGBY. March 5. It is learned that the Dortmund-Ems Canal is dry on both sides north and south of the safety gates at Ladbergen. where the embankments were breached by R.A.F. on Saturday night. The canal has now been drained five times, and except for short intervals, has been kept out of action since September 23, 1944.
