AUSTRALIAN TRAIN SMASH
SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright (Rec. 8 a.m.)' SYDNEY, March 5. Eighteen persons, including a ■ number of R.A.A.F. men, were injured today when a train ran head on into another train standing at Clarendon Station, opposite the Richmond aerodrome. All were treated at Windsor Hospital, but only three were admitted, and it! is expected that they will be discharged to-morrow at the latest. . ; The stationary train was discharging passengers when the smash occurred. The front of the engine of the moving train was badly smashed, the tender was! derailed, and the first carriage was telescoped on to the tender.; Most of th» injuries were caused by flying glass.
