MR SEMPLE ARRIVES TO-NIGHT
MAYOR ARRANGES CONFERENCE The Mayor, Mr D. C. Cameron, last night received a telegram from the Minister of Works, Hon. R. Semple, advising that he would be arriving in Dunedin to-day, and asking that a public meeting be arranged of those interested in flood damage. The Mayor has arranged for a meeting to be held in a committee room at the Town, Hall at 8.30 to-night, and extends an invitation to all interested persons to attend for the purpose of discussing this urgent matter. Mr Cameron has been in touch with Taieri representatives, and it is anticipated that many of these will attend. Represent tatives of farmers’ organisations in Dunedin will also attend.
