SHARE MARKET. A sale of Mosgiel Woollen at £l4 ns was reported on ’Change this morning; the market closing at £l4 2s 6d-£l4 7s fid. Quotations both ways were given for Bank of New Zealand at 46s 6d--47s 3d. New Zealand Refrigerating (paid) at 28s-2Ss 4d, Bond’s Hosiery at 4vs-50s, Bruce (ord.) at 33s 3d, M.ilhurn Lime and Cement at 355-37 s 6d. Maeduffs (ord.) at 17s-17s sd. New Zealand Express Company at 4s-7s,.and Mount Morgan at 6s 3d-6s 9d. Buyers were offering 92s for E.S. and A. Bank, 51s 9d for National Bank of New Zealand. 27s for Wright, Stephenson (ord.l and 25s for the pref., 27s for Broken Hill South, 52s for North Broken Hill. 49s for British Tobacco, 21s for D.I.C. (ord.) and 26s 6d for the pref. MINING. The return from the Slab Hut Creek dredge for the week ended February 16 was 360 z from 18,650 yards in 111 hours. , For the week ended February 23 the dredge of Clutha River Gold Dredging Limited, operating at Alexandra, worked 103 hours and recovered ISO ounces. FISH MARKET. There was a' well-supplied market this •morning, with good variety and a good supply, sufficient to meet all demands. Prices were down considerably Lemon soles, 4£d,' 5Jd per lb; English soles (unsold); flounders, ling, groper, ojjd to 7sd; gurnard, 2Jd; terakihi, 2£d to 3d; blue cod, 7d to 7|d; red cod, 15s per large case.
